Meet Lora DeLorenzo

owner, planner, designer, dreamer, doer

As a young girl Lora joined her great grandmother in the kitchen creating dishes from their village in Sicily, Italy, where a passion for culinary arts and hospitality first blossomed. She studied at Johnson and Wales University and also completed the second level wine certificate program through the International Sommelier Guild.

When Lora moved to Orlando she further pursued her dreams by operating a 100-seat full service restaurant and bar on beautiful Lake Eola.

Throughout her journey in the culinary world, Lora has dedicated a large portion of her time to philanthropy and assisting children & families in need. In 2004, Lora co-founded the Bridges of Light Foundation, an organization which focuses on children in foster care facilities and underprivileged children in Orange County Public Schools. Lora led and inspired all aspects of the non-profit organization – planning, budgeting, financial reporting, resource management, human resources, grant writing and public relations. Through careful planning and successful execution these events raised upwards of $250,000 annually.

With the expertise Overeasy Events provides in areas of customer service, budgeting, organization and communication, combined with well-nurtured partner and vendor relationships, a dynamic and capable team produces unique, inspired, unforgettable events in the Orlando and Winter Park Area, and beyond.

Meet The Team

Rachel Kaufman

event specialist, mitzvah guru

Rachel began her involvement in event planning & consulting before she her even had driver’s license.  Her first job was with a caterer, prepping food, in her hometown of Woodbridge, CT. Rachel was born and raised in New England and as a high-school graduate she moved to Winter Park, FL to earn her bachelor’s degree at Rollins College. While at Rollins, Rachel was eager to meet people & get involved in the community. Shortly after her move she started working in high-end retail on Park Avenue, and a mutual friend introduced her to Lora DeLorenzo.

After that meeting, Rachel worked as an intern and assistant for Bridges of Light Foundation for over three years with the hopes of bringing educational equality to underprivileged children living in Orange County.  Much of her involvement in Bridges of Light included; fundraising, event coordination, volunteer organization, and the production of the annual Player’s Ball Gala.

In January 2013 Rachel joined Hilton Worldwide to embark further in hospitality. Despite her new position, later that year, Rachel joined Lora again, but this time at Overeasy Events.  With over 10 years of experience, Rachel’s love for design, attention to detail, and desire to make the “special” moments in life “unforgettable” are noticeably evident in her work.
